Throughout its long history, Philodassiki has been repeatedly honored for its invaluable contributions:

1947: The Academy of Athens awarded Philodassiki for “its exceptional efforts in securing resources and successfully cultivating 60,000 saplings at the Kaisariani nursery, later growing to 200,000. These saplings were planted in the previously devastated areas of Mt. Hymettus during the German occupation in World War II.”

1976: The Academy of Athens recognized Philodassiki once again, awarding it the Silver Medal for its significant work in reforesting Lycabettus Hill, creating the Kaisariani Forest, and restoring and conserving the Kaisariani Monastery.

1994: The European Commission honored Philodassiki by designating the grounds surrounding the Kaisariani Monastery as a "Historic Garden of Europe." This designation recognized the olive grove, nurseries, botanical garden, forest plazas, and monuments scattered across the landscape.

1997: The Henry Ford Foundation presented Philodassiki with a European Conservation Award, along with an honorary diploma and a financial grant. The award acknowledged the society’s “botanical park development program on the slopes of Mt. Hymettus” and “its creation of the aesthetic forest surrounding the Byzantine Kaisariani Monastery.”

2007: The Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature awarded Philodassiki the "Byron Antipas" prize for its enduring contributions, particularly its efforts in creating and maintaining the Mt. Hymettus Aesthetic Forest.
