Visit of the Athens Science Festival volunteers to the Aesthetic Forest
On 22 November, we welcomed the volunteer team of the Athens Science Festival to the Aesthetic Forest for a brief yet meaningful introduction to the work and history of Philodassiki. The Director of Philodasiki, Panos Kafousias – who in the past served as Executive Manager & Director of the Athens Science Festival – presented the history of the forest’s creation, its environmental significance, the Historical Olive Grove, as well as the protection and stewardship activities that we have been implementing for decades.
During the educational walk, the team had the opportunity to learn about the forest’s ecosystem and to discuss the needs and challenges that the mountain faces.
We warmly thank everyone for their presence and interest. We look forward to meeting again at this year’s Athens Science Festival, from 18 to 21 December.
