World Environment Day 2025 at the 130th Primary School of Athens

This year, on World Environment Day, we had the pleasure of starting our day at the 130th Primary School of Athens in Kato Patissia, as part of the initiative “Our Goal is Green.”

We were welcomed into a lively, green-filled schoolyard: a majestic plane tree, an olive tree, an orange tree, and other trees adorned the front yard, while the back courtyard featured a carefully tended garden of Mediterranean aromatic herbs. A space that truly inspires love and respect for nature.

The students, along with their teachers and parents, took part in foot races, relay games, and team activities, all with great enthusiasm. The proceeds from the event were generously donated to Philodassiki, in support of our ongoing work at the Mt. Hymettus Aesthetic Forest.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire school community of the 130th Primary School for their warm hospitality and meaningful contribution. Their support fills us with hope and gives us the strength to continue our mission – seeing the next generations grow up with sensitivity and awareness toward the natural world.
